The Student Union of Karelia University of Applied Sciences (POKA) is looking for a Chairperson of the Board for the remainder of 2025!

The Chairperson of the Board leads the Student Union’s board by, among other things, preparing meetings and representing POKA in various meetings with partners. The Chairperson works at the interface between the office and the board, overseeing daily operations and ensuring a fair division of responsibilities.

The Chairperson works in a team supported by the office, the Vice Chair, other board members, and the Chairpersons of the Representative Council. The person appointed to the position also serves as the immediate supervisor of the Executive Director.

The Chairperson of the Board is elected by the trust of the Representative Council of the Student Union. The selected person must be a member of POKA and an attending student at Karelia University of Applied Sciences. Proper orientation will be provided, and the position comes with financial compensation. Under certain conditions, participation in student union activities can also earn study credits.
