The election for the supplementary members of the Representative Council of POKA will take place electronically from Monday, February 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM to Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The election aims to fill two (2) positions in the student union’s Representative Council. 

By the deadline (January 20, 2025), the central election board received three notifications for establishing electoral lists and four candidate applications. One of the electoral lists did not have any candidates, and one candidate application had to be rejected due to incomplete information. The central election board assigned the following election numbers to the candidates: 

• 2 Onni Riikonen, International Business, Wärtsilä electoral roll 

• 3 Petri Kononen, Business Administration, Wärtsilä electoral roll 

• 4 Antero Suokas, Media Professional, Tikkarinteen vaalilista   

Candidate introductions will be published in week 5 on the student union POKA’s website at pokapoka.fi/representative-elections/. 

Each eligible voter has one (1) vote. The list of eligible voters for POKA will be formed five (5) working days before the first voting day, on January 29, 2025. Voters can check their eligibility at POKA’s office during opening hours starting from January 29, 2025. Any objections regarding the list of eligible voters must be submitted in writing by the first election day. 

In the supplementary election for the Representative Council of the student union POKA, two (2) members will be elected, and the candidates who do not win will serve as alternate members of the council. The term of office for the Representative Council is the year 2025.
