Principles for a safer event

  1. We Learn: We approach new topics, people, and perspectives with an open mind and as an opportunity to learn something new. Asking questions is encouraged to increase understanding.
  2. We Respect and Value: We respect each other. We make space for different opinions. Discriminatory attitudes are not opinions. We value diversity. We enable a sense of belonging and inclusion for everyone.
  3. We Intervene: If we encounter harassment, inappropriate treatment, or behavior, we do not remain bystanders. Only by actively intervening can we make the event safer.
